Interested in a review of one of Grisham’s classics? How about some history and background about the acclaimed Wuthering Heights? Just stop by Empire Road in Johannesburg and you will find one of SA’s first street bookworms, reviewing and selling books to passers by.

This individual has all the odds firmly stacked against him. He often wakes up on the street when he does not have enough money to rent a temporary flat. Instead of begging for money for food, he reads hundreds of books and then sells them to people on the street, or in cars going to work.

And who says self-help books are a waste of time? He brought is life out of the doldrums of drug addiction just by reading many self-help books.

He particularly likes Grisham because “He touches on social justice and I think that’s the one thing lacking in the world”.
